President of Cambodian Red Cross Delivers a Thank You Message to the King for Donating $1,000

PHNOM PENH: The President of the Cambodian Red Cross, First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen, has delivered a thank you message to the King of Cambodia, His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, for donating US $1,000 to the Cambodian Red Cross in April 2022.

In a letter addressed to the King, First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen stated that the King's donation to the Red Cross embodied the thought and sacrifice he has made to support the humanitarian activities of the Cambodian Red Cross to help the poor who are affected by various disasters.

The letter included that she prays for the sacred objects in the hands of the guardian deity and the hand of all former kings to bless His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni with the warm shade in which Cambodian people can seek refuge forever.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Cambodia-China Stung Trang-Kroch Chhmar Friendship Bridge on 23 November 2021, Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that the King and Queen Mother of Cambodia, although have less wealth than the royalty of other countries, are still very concerned and involved with improving the well-being of the people. The Prime Minister highlighted how the King and Queen Mother have, in particular, donated their own money to the Royal Government so that this money can go to hospitals, to buy vaccines and to provide other humanitarian aid.

Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he considers both the King and Queen Mother‘s actions and dedication as a major national movement that has helped to resolve crisis in Cambodia.
